Mr. Eric Watson

Principal, Stockbridge High School Stockbridge, GA

Mr. Eric Watson serves as the principal of Stockbridge High School. He has been in education for twenty-five years. His first ten years in education, were spent as a teacher and coach. During that time, he was fortunate to be able to work with diverse groups of students and athletes. He is proud to say that many of his former students have come back to say what a positive impact he made on them. Their success is what motivates him to continually push young learners towards a rewarding educational experience.

As a coach, he vigorously enforced his belief that strong academics are the foundation for all achievement. This rule of thought developed from his belief that “we must continue to improve instruction in the classroom.”

Mr. Watson is a huge contributor and encourager of Stockbridge High School’s FBLA Chapter. He often encourages us to strive for the best and always produce the products that we are learning in our business education curriculum. Mr. Watson emphasizes the concept of personalized learning and his leadership supports all student lead projects.

To the best principal - EVER!  "Thank you so, so much for always encouraging us, making sure we feel valued, and pushing us to greater heights".

The Stockbridge High School Future Business Leaders of America organization is grateful and very thankful for our Assistant Superintendent's support. It says something about the school system as a whole when top leaders reach out to work side-by-side with students. We say, "Thank you so much for your help, Mr Aaryn Schmuhl !"

Partnerships

The following partners are helping with the logistics, planning, and execution of,  "This Is How We Rock!"

I am Dr. J. Elliott Atkinson, a veteran teacher serving in the Henry County School System since 1999. I have also worked in business & industry, taught college classes and served in AmeriCorps, (the PeaceCorps on American Soil). With years of experience under my belt, I still get excited every day when I awaken to come to school - excited about imparting business knowledge to students. I also continue to study all the time, go to conferences, stay involved in business activities and networking opportunities.

I absolutely love students and we have a very good time in my classes - participting in personalized learning, exploring business ideas, participating and going all out to win in competitions, scholarships and opportunities! Usher Raymond's New Look Foundation's Music Industry Leadership 101 course further enhances what students learn in and outside the classroom. Through MIL 101, we are able to help students focus on  identifiing and channelling their talents and passions into careers and community service.

Students work hard, have fund and are learning the ins and outs of the music industry -  behind the scenes. under my leadership.  I firmly believe anything worth having is worth working for. I am also the advisor for FBLA which stands for Future Business Leaders of America. FBLA is the oldest business student organization in the world! A quarter of a million high school and middle school students, college and university students, faculty, educators, administrators, and business professionals have chosen to be members of the premier business education association preparing students for careers in business.

We have a very active, involved CTSO (Career & Technology Student Organization). In FBLA you studnets learn tons about business and compete for honors, awards, scholarship and opportunities. The blending in 0f the MIL 101 Course is a perfect fit for the activities revolving around community service that we engage in. As well, students  get to meet people from all over the US. We also take field trips and do our very best to stay at the top of excellence as we pursue learning how businesses operate.

FBLA sponsored, "THIS IS HOW WE ROCK!!"  because of the organization's  great concern for students who have dropped out of school. FBLA's hope is that "T-Rock' as it is fondly called, will open opportunities where indecision and hopelessness once existed.

Ladies and Gentlemen......................This is How We Rock!

Special Thanks to...
